Occupational Therapy
We help children and adults build independence, improve motor skills, and confidently manage everyday tasks—at home, school, or work.
Our Occupational Therapy Assessment & Treatment Approach
At Pair It With Speech Services, we support both children and adults in building independence and improving daily life through personalized occupational therapy. Here’s how we do it:
For Children
1. Initial Parent Consultation
We begin with a conversation with parents or guardians to understand concerns, developmental history, and challenges your child may be experiencing at home, school, or in social settings.
2. Functional Assessment
Using standardized tests and hands-on observation, we assess your child’s fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, emotional regulation, self-care tasks (like dressing and feeding), handwriting abilities, and play or social interaction.
3. Individualized Therapy Plan
Based on the assessment, our occupational therapist creates a custom plan focused on functional goals—like improving coordination, increasing attention span, building strength, or helping with transitions and routines.
4. Fun & Functional Therapy Sessions
Therapy sessions are engaging and playful, helping your child develop essential life skills through activities like obstacle courses, sensory play, crafts, handwriting practice, and more.
5. Family Involvement & Home Strategies
We’ll show you how to support your child’s progress at home and provide tools you can use in everyday routines. You’re an important part of the team!
For Adults
1. Initial Client Consultation
We start by understanding your lifestyle, medical background, and goals. Whether it’s recovery from an injury, managing chronic conditions, or improving daily functioning—we listen.
2. Functional & Cognitive Assessment
We assess fine motor skills, muscle strength, range of motion, coordination, pain, and your ability to perform everyday tasks like cooking, bathing, dressing, or managing work responsibilities. If needed, we also look at cognition, memory, and focus.
3. Personalized Treatment Plan
Your treatment plan is built around your goals—whether you want to return to work, live more independently, or improve quality of life. We set realistic milestones and work at your pace.
4. Practical, Real-Life Therapy
Therapy may include strengthening exercises, adaptive strategies for daily tasks, ergonomic training, pain management, or sensory regulation—always tailored to your lifestyle.
5. Support, Education & Progress Monitoring
We check in regularly and provide ongoing support to ensure you’re progressing. We also educate you and your caregivers to help maintain success outside of therapy.
We Pair You With the Right Therapist to Support Your Journey.
From childhood development to adult rehabilitation, we’re here to help every step of the way—building confidence, independence, and a better quality of life.
